This DNA authentication technology was selected in 1995 by the prestigious R&D Magazine as one of the world's 100 Most Significant New Products of the year. Dubbed the Nobel Prize of applied research, the awards are presented to those inventions that judges believe make the world a better place to live in. Past winners include the fax machine, Polacolor film, automatic teller machine, digital wristwatch, Nicoderm Anti-smoking patch and Taxol anti-cancer drug.
